dude, between teh myspace and teh NSA/CIA funded facebook project, is there any room for a small and independent gathering place of like-minded individuals?

all the things that were supposed to make the internet wonderful have been co-opted by corporations and the information merchants. we are owned by google, catalogued by google and managed by google.

our friends and the enemies of our friends are watching us twitter as we update our status.

we have lost touch with groups as he have regained contact with others in different realms.

i have no doubt at this point many people probably wish i *had* been having trouble logging in, so they wouldn't have to read all of this.

if this board's software supports it, i would suggest a mass email to all the people - a call to arms to return here to fight the good fight and die for a cause that is just and fair, namely asheville rock (if there is any more rock to be had - i heard the hippies today babbling about Acoustic Syndicate, as if I could even be bothered to grunt derision at that).

so, when i finally shuffle down of these mountains towards the flat lying coastal regions of the bad carolina in the next month or so, will i have just an empty shell to look at back here or will i find a new band of people to not interact with on a local website?
